Application
Crocin: A Carotenoid With Anticancer, Antioxidant and Antiinflammatory Properties
Crocin is a carotenoid chemical compound that is found in gardenia fruits and saffron which have traditionally been used as pharmaceutical agents. It is one of the water-soluble yellow-red pigments and is used as a spice for flavoring and coloring food. Pharmacological studies have suggested that it has anticancer, antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties, improving of learning behaviors in mice, and protection of brain cells. (The product is for research purpose only.)
